In March, Derby City Mayor Dion Avello requested public applications to fill expired terms and vacancies in a variety of city advisory boards and commissions.

Many applicants were received, according to Avello, and at the last Derby City Council meeting, he made his appointments public:

Construction Trades Board

• Brian Clifton (appoint)

Economic Development Board

• Kristin Ward (reappoint)

• Robert Ash (reappoint)

• Jason Wiley (appoint)

Library Board

• Patricia Williams (appoint)

Ordinance Review Advisory Board

• Betty Wilken (appoint)

• Van Willis (appoint)

• Jeff Boone (appoint)

• Rick Brown (appoint)

Planning Commission

• Justin Smith (reappoint)

• Ann Nelson (appoint)

Recognition of those people who are retiring from service on the various city boards and commissions is planned for the Derby City Council meeting on May 13.

The council unanimously approved the appointments.
