Derby, Kan. -

One of Derby’s newest organizations, the Derby Garden Club, has found a meeting location.

The club has only had two meetings but those meetings were held at different locations due to the lac of a permanent meeting place for the club. The Valley State Bank has agreed to let the club meet there for their monthly meeting.

“It’s what we hope will be our permanent location,” Garden Club publicity manager Marge Kaegi said.

Members will continue to gather on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m.

Those who are interested in begin a part of the Derby Garden Club are invited to stop in for their next meeting at Valley State Bank, 330 E. Madison. Enter through the north doors and go downstairs to share what you know and learn even more about gardening in the new home of the Derby Garden Club.

“It will be nice to have a permanent home,” Garden Club founder Mary Woolsey said.
